New members in our Switching regulator line-up
ROHM features a brought line-up of switch mode regulators. The below diagram shows an excerpt of the Build-in FET Series. Of course controller type devices for external MOSFETs are available as well. ROHM offers devices for applications like PC power supply (Vin=20V, Iout = 6A), automotive (Vin=50V, Iout=2A and 4A), digital video cameras (6 to 8 separate channels) and Flat Panel TVs (Vin=2.7V to 5.5V, Iout=3A or controller types). All devices can be universally used in many other applications. |

The Fast Recovery Diodes offer ultra-high speed switching and 50% less switching loss compared to earlier units. All ROHM power diodes offer low or ultra-low VF. BD8118FM: High efficiency Power LEDdriver for LCD Backlighting
The automotive grade BD8118FM is designed for medium sized LCD back lighting applications. It integrates four precisely matched current sources to drive four LED chains with up to 150mA each. LED luminance can be controlled by PWM (0.38%-100%) or VDAC. The output voltage of the integrated boost converter is regulated to minimize voltage drop of the current sources. It can be controlled by an enable switch and features a Soft Start mode to eliminate overshoot. The switching frequency is adjustable by synchronization or ext. RC. |

New line-up of LDO regulators

New line-up of low Iq LDO regulators for the automotive market ROHM has developed a series of LDO regulators for automotive applications. The regulators are available with a fix output voltage of 3.3V, and 5V. In addition, a variable type is also available. The maximum output current is 500 mA. The ambient temperature range is -40°C to 125°C where the bias current Iq remains below 50µA. The LDOs require no electrolytic capacitors. |

New Line-up of H-bridge motor drivers

Rohm has developed a complete family of full bridge drivers for brush motor applications.
The drivers can operate at a wide range of power supply voltages - from 3V to 36V- supporting a maximum output current up to 2A. Using MOS transistors in the output stage enables PWM signal input. These H-bridge drivers enable low power consumption design.

White LED in PLCC2 package

The Industry’s First High CRI white Led in PLCC2 package
ROHM has developed white LEDs in two types of high-intensity and high CRI feature in the PLCC2 package. Due to the use of red/green phosphor Rohm white leds generate a CRI of 92 which allows excellent color rendition for white backlighting and illumination purpose. In addition color variations from cold white to warm white are available upon request.
Following parts are available:
SMLZ13WBDRW - red/green phosphor with typ.880mcd at 20mA and a CRI of 92! SMLZ13WBDPW - yellow phosphor with typ. 1100mcd at 20mA.
