ROHM Electronics specifically designed its LED driver IC series BD6095GUL for LCD backlights in order to provide optimized viewing with low power consumption through ROHM’s industry wide unique double dimming function adjusting brightness based on image content and ambient conditions.

The BD9778 is a Step down DC-DC converter requiring a minimum amount of xternal components. While the supply voltage Vs may vary from 7 to 35V the output remains stable starting from 1V to Vs or 10 to 100% of Vs. Output voltage and operating frequency are programmable with external components. The output current limitation protects the integrated P-channel MOSFET against currents larger than 2A (BD9001 / BD9778) and 4A (BD9781). Additional features are: extended temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, thermal shut down and very low standby current.

New Family of I2C-bus compatible Double Cell EEPROMs expands line-up to 256kbit density

ROHM has developed the new I2C-compatible BR24Sxx0 EEPROMs (non-volatile memory). Features include double-cell construction, guaranteed operation up to +85°C, gold pad/gold wire connections, and double reset functionality for high reliability. High redundancy circuits and processes combined with thorough screening and debugging ensure 1 million rewrites at 85°C and 40 years data retention.

ROHM’s top class serial EEPROMs for automotive applications feature the utmost in reliability and guarantee stable operation at 125°C. Multiple protection measures have been incorporated, such as a unique double cell structure and double reset functionality. N-channel MOSFET Driver IC for Load Switching
 
ROHM has developed a NMOS driver for load switch applications as an alternative solution for load switching (ON/OFF) on device power supply lines. The BD2270HFV provides an integrated charge pump (voltage tripler) to drive an NMOS transistor gate. All of the required functions, including a soft start CPU interface and discharge capability, are built in. The supply voltage range of the device is 2.7V to 5.5V where the operating current stays below 75µA. The stand-by current is below 10µA. Samples are ready for shipment.
