ROHM features a broad line-up of LDO regulators. The below diagram shows a quick overview of available devices.
Today ROHM proudly announces a new series of CMOS LDO regulators. The TA2 series is designed to control output currents of up to 200mA. The circuit current remains at about 40µA. The input voltage ranges from 2.5V to 5.5V.
Further features are a wide range of available output voltages from 1.5V to 3.4V, a very good accuracy of 1%, low noise output of less than 30µVRMS and PSRR better than 65 dB. Also it remains stable with a small low ESR ceramic capacitor of 1µF at the output. Outstanding is the very low dropout voltage of 300mV at 200mA output current.
The SSON4 package (SSON004X1216) features dimensions of 1.2mm x 1.6mm x 0.6mm. Still the power dissipation is 220mW depending on the PCB layout. Combined with small ceramic capacitors this regulator will greatly reduce real estate requirements on your PCB.
