New I2C bus EEPROMs

New Family of I²C-bus compatible Double Cell EEPROMs expands line-up to 256kbit density

ROHM has developed the new I2C-compatible BR24Sxx0 EEPROMs (non-volatile memory). Features include double-cell construction, guaranteed operation up to +85°C, gold pad/gold wire connections, and double reset functionality for high reliability.

High redundancy circuits and processes combined with thorough screening and debugging ensure 1 million rewrites at 85°C and 40 years data retention. The new lineup consists of 26 types in different packages types and memory capacities from 16kbit up to 256kbit.

Sample for all types are available and mass production will start within 1Q 2008.
