ROHM has developed a series of LDO regulators for automotive applications. The regulators are available with a fix output voltage of 3.3V, and 5V. In addition, a variable type is also available.
The maximum output current is 500 mA. The ambient temperature range is -40°C to 125°C where the bias current Iq remains below 50µA. The LDOs require no electrolytic capacitors. Stability is guaranteed with a small ceramic buffer capacitor (starting at 330nF) at the output.
